Remember how I said we were so lucky Will had NOT been to the ER yet?? Well, think again. He fell outside in late February and split his forehead open, so 3 stitches were needed. Not a fun experience. It is amazing how much a head wound bleeds! He heals quickly, and the scar is barely visible.
He just finished up preschool, and wow did he have a good time. The last day the kids got to wear their swim suits and play in some water tables. What fun! I just hope he didn't try to drink any of it.
I am amazed at how fast the school year went by. I think the stress we had was so overwhelming, my mind just kind of went on auto pilot, and here we are, home 10 months. He's grown so much, and it is wonderful to see his legs straighten out.
I'm sure this summer will bring lots of adventure for the little guy!
We expect to spend a lot of time at the pool this summer!

A new update for a new year
We finally made it to the end of the year without an ER visit. I truly believed Will would have stitches by now. He has fallen down the stairs more times than I can count. Smashed his face on everything imaginable, usually once a day, sometimes more. But he survives, and so do we.
He started in a mom's day out program at a local preschool (Jen's former school as well), and he just loves it. He amazes me with his enthusiastic approach to new situations. Never afraid, just jumps right in. A happy boy who enjoys life, and that is a wonderful thing to experience.
He is still eating us out of our house! He doesn't ever get full, which concerns us quite a bit. We have to limit when and what he eats, which ends up making him mad, but what else can we do?? He's just a hair under 30 lbs right now, and it is hard to hold him for too long - my arms and back can't take it!
He is progressing nicely with his speech and sign language. Sometimes he tries so hard to pronounce a word, only we don't understand him. Some things he repeatedly says wrong, like "school". For some reason he says it with an "eee" sound, so obviously we're in for the long haul with speech therapy. The signs help tremendously, but for those who don't know the signs.....it is difficult to understand him. He and Jenna can go back and forth quite a bit, and it is nice to listen in on their conversations. He just adores Jen, and she adores him - most of the time.
